Coffs Harbour
Coffs Harbour itself is a focus for the region’s activities – highlights include diving and snorkelling in the Solitary Islands Marine Park, sailing cruises, fishing charters and whale spotting between June and October, when migrating humpbacks pass close to the coast.
At certain times of the year, Wallaby spotting is also popular – Australia’s rugby team is based at Coffs between its international campaigns. Adventurous souls should try cracking a Pacific wave on a surf raft or taking a very deep breath and launching into tandem skydiving – while golfers shouldn’t miss playing a round at Bonville International, voted Australia’s Most Beautiful Golf Course three years in a row.
